Role Overview
Substitute Teachers provide coverage across Wild School programs as needed. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to step into established routines and maintain safety standards quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Step into scheduled coverage assignments across locations/programs

Maintain group safety and follow established routines

Support lead staff and implement provided plans where applicable

Communicate clearly with site leadership about any incidents or needs
​
Compensation
Starting at $18/hour, depending on experience.
​
Qualifications (Required)
-
Experience working with children in a group setting
-
Strong reliability and punctuality
-
Comfort outdoors in varied weather
-
Ability to follow program procedures consistently

Substitute Pool Active Status (Required)
To remain active and eligible for scheduling, substitute teachers must:

Attend all required staff trainings
-
Work at least one shift per calendar month
​
Failure to meet these requirements may result in removal from the active substitute list.
