Introduction to Fire Making

Build and manage fire with confidence using traditional skills and modern tools.

Fire making is one of the most foundational outdoor skills, and one most adults never actually learn. In this hands-on class, you’ll practice selecting materials, building different fire lays, using ignition tools, managing a safe flame, and fully extinguishing a fire. You’ll learn the history, science, and human connection behind fire while gaining the confidence to build one responsibly anywhere you explore.

Local Medicinal Plants and Their Uses

Learn to identify, understand, and ethically use the plants growing all around you.

Spend the day walking the land, learning to identify the medicinal and edible plants native to our region. You’ll explore traditional uses, safe and ethical harvesting, and simple ways to integrate these plants into your daily life. This class blends sensory awareness with practical knowledge, giving you a richer way to engage with every trail, garden, and greenspace.

Introduction to Animal Tracking

Learn to read the hidden stories wildlife leaves behind.
